Steinwall’s entry into large press molding has taken another step forward with the installation of a 30 ton crane system.  The crane allows for timelier tool changes in the large tonnage machines (950 to 1750 tons). 

The crane system is a double girder, top running hoist that gives complete access for lifting and placing underneath the crane system’s footprint.

There are two hoists equipped on the crane system; 30 ton and 15 ton hoist.  Both are electric wire rope hoists that can be used together or independently.  When used together, this allows for the option of rotating tools for positioning into a press. 

The hoists are designed for safe and controlled handling of injection molding tools.  There are mechanical load brakes that engage instantly for precise load holding and positioning. 

For lighter weight tools, Steinwall has two portable hoists with 3 ton and 5 ton capacity.
